State of the Anomaly - 2025
Welcome!
The home page gave a bit of context as to the purpose of this site, but I'd like to go in a bit more detail in this first post.
Let me start off by saying hello! I'm Ryan, and I started Ninth Anomaly in hopes of creating a vast and in depth repository for the unexplained. The concept of this site is something that's been bouncing around in my head for a while, and recently 3I/Atlas sparked some movement after years of interest.
Like many, I've been interested in the unexplained since I was a child. Stories about UFO's, abductions, ghosts, cryptids, folklore etc. have always captivated me. I've often said that my dream job would be to hunt down and explore those mysteries. I could spend a lifetime talking about this stuff, but I often find that it's scattered and messy. I might read a few documents or watch some compelling documentaries only to forget the details later on. This site is my answer to that problem.
The goal is to gather and organize as much compelling evidence for the unexplained as possible, categorizing and presenting it in such a way that's easily digestible. This is not only for the benefit of the reader but myself as well. I can't count how many times I've tried to recall some compelling info on a totally out-there subject in conversation, only to be unable to quite remember the details. My hope is that eventually we can come to this site and find that info in such a scenario.
Collaboration
I hope to foster collaboration in this site, as I believe collaborative thought and discussion is key to this sort of thing. That means I will (hopefully) not be the only author outputting material here. In addition, there will always be open comments for discussion under each article posted on this site. As time goes on and this site is further developed I plan to add sections for documents, images and other relevant materials.
For now, thanks for checking the site out.
